Melodic Minor Scale

Melodic Minor Scale

Many people don’t know there are multiple minor scales. We’ll focus on the Melodic Minor scale here.  The melodic minor scale is often used when singing is involved because it is easier to sing than the harmonic minor scale (The natural minor scale is used most).  The melodic minor scale may also be referred to as the “Ascending Melodic Minor Scale,” because some feel it should be used for going UP the scale exclusively.
